Alfie is a lovely Black Labrador I recently had the pleasure of drawing. In 2018 I was asked to do a colour pencil drawing of him from a different reference photograph. It was lovely to capture him again this time in pastels. We had a bit of a difficult time finding the right reference photo in terms of one that was suitable quality with the detail seen for me to use. When I was asked to draw from this reference I immediately loved it. It’s not the pose you typically see but it really works.
