Prices & Sizes

My portraits are created using high quality, lightfast materials. Lightfast is a longevity rating in art supplies. The higher the score the longer the colour, pigment or material will last. All of my materials including the paper, canvases and boards I use are all archival and made to last ensuring you are getting the very best quality.

Please find all the standard canvas sizes and their prices. If there is not a size on the table you require, please don’t hesitate to contact me for a quote. All my canvases for my acrylic paintings are hand made to order so I am able to offer unique sizes from 8 x 8 to 30 x 30.

I continue the background on all 4 edges of the canvas. This makes them perfect for hanging straight on the wall if framing is not preferred. All canvases, if being hung directly on your wall come ready to hang with strong framing cord and cushion corner pads.

Additional information:

I ask for a 30% non refundable deposit which will confirm your place on my waiting list. The balance can then be paid when the portrait is complete.

Acrylic paintings: Tonal ‘mottled’ and simple scenic backgrounds are free.

Sizing information:
When painting portraits of head/shoulders I try to fill the entire canvas with the subject. There is usually a 1-2 inch gap from the subject to the edge of the canvas. This creates a balanced portrait and ensures that if you choose to have it framed there is no loss of background/subject.

If you would like to request a commission and discuss what portrait size would best suit your requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
