I loved working on a smaller scale for this project. Only 4" x 6" and this isn't something I normally do but it really enabled me to focus on contrast rather than lots of detail which is valuable for refining drawing technique. A different subject than what I typically have on the easel and with the addition of bubbles, it was a fun drawing to work on =).

Another little fur study of a Spaniel ear which can make us think 'where do I start?'. The way the longer, wavy fur overlaps requires the use of the right layering and brush technique. It can really help just to imagine the fur as shapes rather than thinking of it as fur because usually that then makes us over think it. ...
