I am working on this in between pet portraits but hope to have it finished by Christmas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I chose this reference photograph because I love the cropped angle and how that makes the subject really fill the page. An absolutely beautiful animal which has been good fun working on. The above video clip is a short peak into how I layer and achieve the fine detail. Although not finished, these sections are 90% complete with only some final details and tweaks to be made. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> When I work I do like to work in small sections and get those areas near completion before moving on. I find this helps me to focus on the portrait and enables me to feel the portrait is becoming more complete.
