I am putting together the first section of this painting in a time lapse video. It’s such a large piece that I decided it may be best to share videos in sections. This is where I got to yesterday. I have had terrible back and neck ache so didn’t get as much done as I wanted but this is a huge painting that cannot be rushed. You’ll see in the photo a couple of my favourite supplies for acrylics. Liquitex basics work well for my techiniques as they are quite translucent so work great for glazes etc. These are probably my favourite brushes. I do have a couple of favourites that I picked up from random little trips out but these 3 brushes have been used for 90% of this painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lighting in this piece is coming from the back of them as the sun was setting. So there is that nice glow and I especially love the colour in the ears which is pushing through the thinner skin. It’s the lighting that made me drawn to this reference I took in Scotland :).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
