Over a few weekends when I have managed to work some extra hours I decided to do a few smaller studies. Being the run up to Christmas I wanted to do a festive theme and what better subject than the Robin. Creating that cyan blue background with the snow was probably my favourite part. As soon as the snow was added I felt like this pastel portrait was complete. I haven’t been able to share it with you until now because of having to wait for my framer to open again after the recent restrictions. I wanted to pick a double mount so wanted to pick the specific mount colour for that inside layer which I think makes portraits that much more 3D. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had a lovely reference photo for the Robin but changed the background entirely and added the snow flakes to make it festive seeing as we are on the run up to Christmas \ud83d\ude42
