I mentioned in a previous blog post about the benefits of having a great reference photograph to work from. I was asked to do this portrait of Bertie earlier this year and I was so excited with the photograph I was given. It was taken on a DSLR camera which does make a difference but the lighting, pose and his expression was perfect.
Nowadays, mobile phones have excellent cameras and these are more than suitable for taking photographs that are of a good enough quality for me to use for a portrait.
