I had the absolute pleasure of drawing these beautiful dogs. These remarkable police dogs truly are special and what an honour to be asked to draw them.
In some cases, if the angles of the photographs are suitable, I can get 4 subjects on an A3 portrait. In some cases this isn’t always possible. For multiple subjects on the same portrait I always do layouts in Photoshop before hand. This enables the clients to choose what layout they prefer and give them a chance to see how they will be positioned making decisions for any alterations easier if you can visualise it first. At this point its very easy to alter layouts.
Due to all these wonderful Shepherd ears this was the only layout where I could get them all on the same portrait. Otherwise, any other positions would have meant some ears would overlap the others faces. But this layout really suited the subjects and worked great.
