Exciting News & Hare is Finished!

Long post but yay excited!! The finished painting :). Thank you for all your lovely comments on my social media on the work in progress updates I have been sharing of this painting. The first of my British wildlife series can now be ticked off my rather long list :).

I am so excited to share with you that I will now be offering prints of my wildlife artwork!

As are all my pieces of artwork from pet portraits to wildlife I only use the highest quality materials that are lightfast and made to last. The prints will be of the same excellent quality. They will be professionally printed Giclee prints on fine art, archival quality 300gsm paper. Each print will be hand signed and professionally mounted and will come with a certificate of authenticity. The prints for this Hare painting will be 8″ x 10″, mounted size 10″ x 12″ ready to frame.
Including postage and packing (within UK) they are £35. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like one – a perfect Christmas present for someone maybe 🙂

The painting is being professionally photographed by the same company who do the prints. This weekend I’ll be dropping it down along with my Barn Owl and I cannot wait to see the prints 😁.

The original painting is also up for grabs. All of my paintings are done on pre-stretched canvas which are hand made by my local framer. I paint all the edges of my canvases and continue the background round which makes them ideal for hanging straight onto your wall.

As with all of my wildlife pieces I always make them my own and incorporate other elements to make my artwork unique. For this piece the Hare was perfect. The superb reference photograph was excellent. I made the colours warmer so there were more browns and yellows coming through the fur and then added the hint of colour with a few little flowers. This colour was then continued in the background using my airbrush for that out of focus look.
