Pastels are growing on me! I am so happy I have stuck with it and learning how to use them. I’m trying different papers and love them. From my previous posts you may have read that I really struggled with the texture of the pencils on the textured paper. It made me feel the same how nails down a chalk board effects people.. Weird I know!
But I am forcing myself to ignore it and this is gradually easing. This is the third attempt in pastels and as I am stubborn I decided to try the Pastlemat paper again. The first piece was also a Wolf (complete coincidence) and the paper freaked me out. This time though I am loving it! I am going to get more of the smoother paper I tried for my Robin and have a better comparison of what I prefer but so far I think I could happily use both now.

Here are a couple of work in progress updates :).

This Wolf drawing will be up for sale and the finished drawing will be shared soon… possibly tomorrows post :). If you would like to home this original artwork or any of my other pieces feel free to contact me. My email address is zara.toms@hotmail.co.uk
