Do you make New Year’s resolutions?
I don’t normally set New Years resolutions but I may have to make a change to that in 2020. I have loved spending time on my wildlife portfolio these past couple of weeks. So I have decided to allocate set time for this in 2020. I can’t wait to sit down and plan 2020 artwork. From colour pencils and pastel drawings to graphite and acrylics on canvas there will be something for everyone.
Penguin Family – This painting needs a title.. Any ideas?
I normally like names that give a hint to what the painting is about. This painting isn’t going to its new home until the New Year once the rush of Christmas is finished. So I have time to decide but if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them over at my Facebook page or group :).

Size: 16″ x 12″
Medium: Acrylics on pre-stretched canvas with airbrushed background
Layout: For this piece I used multiple references which I adapted and changed to create something unique in this painting. I wanted a glacial scene in the background which was out of focus to create lots of depth with the sharp contrast of the Penguins in the foreground with their striking black and yellow markings.
