First pastel pet portrait!

My nan helped out so much with the wedding; hand making all the table decorations, making the invitations and walking me down the aisle that I wanted to give her something special.

I recently added pastels to my material list and I love them! I really wasn’t sure when I first attempted the medium. This is my 4th ever attempt and I am so pleased with how they are coming out.

A4 (8.3″ x 11.7″) Pastel drawing

Roxy is my nans current dog. She is a rescued Staffordshire Bull Terrier which we were only meant to foster. That was almost 5 years ago and she never left! Failed foster list… The dog next to her will be her previous furbaby, Bella. Bella crossed over rainbow bridge a few years ago but she was everything to my nan. At the good age of 16.5 years old she lived a long and happy life – bossing the other dogs about! Roxy knew her place and never messed with the 2kg Toy Yorkshire Terrier haha!

This portrait was gifted to my nan on Christmas eve. I just need to take the final photograph of it and then put together the full time lapse video and then I can share them here with you :).

I will be offering pastel portraits for commissions very soon. I have a range of paper colours which are gorgeous and add something different to the portraits. Can’t wait for that!
