I have LOVED working on Star’s portrait. An absolute pleasure. This is a pastel portrait and a subtle background was added which really makes him pop out of the paper.
Star sadly is no longer with us and was a very special part of his owners life. He reached the amazing age of 18 and I’m sure his family have many fond memories in this time. The photograph I was asked to use for this piece has stunning lighting. The reflections from his neck and the top of his ear really made this photo such a great choice for a portrait.
As with my blog post yesterday all of my pastel portraits are mounted by my local framer. These come in a variety of colours and for Star’s we decided the black worked the best. Pop across to yesterdays post to see the mounted photo 😀
