I have been looking forward to starting this portrait for months. I had the pleasure of meeting her to take the photographs needed for this portrait.
I hope I am capturing her sweet expression in the drawing. Its only because I have met her that I really know just how adorable she is. All she wanted to do was be cuddled and be with you. And she has such soft fur <3.
I love working with graphite. Graphite and oil paints were my first medium I worked in. Graphite is a great medium to start off with if your new to art. Its one of the cheapest mediums to get started in as you could get away with just getting a HB, 2H and a 4B and you could create something beautiful. I do use 2 main graphite sets and various blending tools. This is quite a large topic so I will make tomorrows blog post focus on my graphite materials :).
