A little while ago I set up a poll on my Facebook group asking what African animal you’d like to see me paint or draw. The Giraffe got the most votes so I set to work creating a layout. I had something in mind pretty much immediately and this meant trying a new technique I haven’t used before.
New art materials… always exciting!
On my last art stock order I purchased a new surface to try. Usually I paint on canvas but love experimenting with new art supplies. I have done the background using my airbrush and I have to say so far I LOVE it. I shall give more of a review when I come to painting the giraffe to give my full opinion.
This will be a 8″ x 10″ acrylic painting with an airbrushed background. For the first time last week I got to use my new airbrush that my husband bought for me last year! LAST YEAR! and I have only just got round to using it. Terrible really! Used it once and now I dont want to put it down. Its beautiful.. in love. Keep checking my blog here and social media to watch this painting develop :D. When finished its up for grabs.
