After leaving my recent Tiger painting to dry while I was away on holiday it was now ready to varnish this week :). I have to say… This is a very satisfying part of the painting process. The colours, contrast and depth once varnished really do finish off every painting.
The best way to describe it would be.. If you printed a photo off on normal paper and then the same photo on photo paper that is the difference. The varnish reverts the painting back to what it looked like when the paint was wet. The only issue is photographing varnished work is very hard, near on impossible!
