Tiger is finished!

🐯✏ All those stripes! ✏🐯

I have not wanted to put down my pencils at all for this one. I’ve loved working on every detail and filling that paper with the cropped subject 😍. Creating that out of focus effect for the body to ensure the main focus is on the detail of the face adds to creating more depth in the piece. I’m taking it to my framers be professionally mounted this weekend and then this original (no prints will be made) will be available and looking for its new home. If you would like more information on this or any of my other original please don’t hesitate to email me at zara.toms@hotmail.co.uk

This will feature as a full length tutorial on Patreon showing how I completed this Amur Tiger from start to finish 🙂
Amur Tigers are among one of the species that are sadly endangered. Conservation efforts are working hard to sustain and increase the population. It’s sad to imagine the possibility of these big cats not having an existence in the wild.

I have always had an ambition to create a life size painting of a Tiger. Maybe it’s something I will achieve some day but for now creating these smaller drawings and paintings of this iconic animal is something I will never tire of.
