I recently had the pleasure of drawing a very special canine companion. Timmy was a pat dog. Pat dogs, known as Pets As Therapy dogs, do an incredible job in a variety of roles. Visiting hospitals, care homes, day centres, schools and many other establishments providing many people with company, companionship and therapy. In some cases dogs are not given as much credit for their role in our lives. It is a real honour, a privilege to be able to share life with them and they deserve all that unconditional love they provide every minute of every day returned. No matter your mood, our feelings or if maybe we have had a bad day at work they always greet you in that same way – waggy tailed and desperate for your attention .
