How to draw fur in graphite | Top tips, techniques & materials
In my first voice over graphite YouTube tutorial (click the photo thumbnail to watch). I’ll share the process I used to draw a black Labrador. Drawing black, shiny fur like all other fur textures is all in the layering process. The way to build depth gradually with a range of techniques to get the most out of the supplies. This graphite tutorial will show the supplies I use from the pencils to the paper all of which make a huge difference with the type of portrait we’re trying to create. Have you previously tried graphite but didn’t feel the results were as you wished? This may be due to the materials and in some cases it may prevent artists from continuing to use this wonderful medium. A real shame considering just how spectacular the results can be.
If graphite tutorials are of interest I’ll make plans to create more. If this YouTube video is useful, any likes and shares are always greatly appreciated as it tells YouTube to pass it on to more people. It will also help me judge whether graphite tutorials is a medium I should add to my tutorial library :).
